December 14-16 – Rutgers Holiday Classic

Adrienne G. A true finals swimmer, Adrienne scored in seven out of the nine events she competed in. On Friday night, she swam three events and began by dropping three seconds off of her morning swim in the 200 Free posting a 1:57.21. She followed that with a two second drop in the 200 IM at 2:16.34 and a 25.96 in the 50 Free. On Saturday, a battered swimmer, Adrienne returned to swim the 500 Free, dropping from 5:21.72 in the morning to a 5:17.17 in finals and claimed fourth place in the 400 IM at 4:45.75. On her final night, she returned to drop three seconds off of her 200 back time to post a 2:16.38 and with the last of her strength she finally broke the 56 mark in the 100 Free and cruised to a 55.60. A true inspiration to all who witnessed her weekend!

Jessica C.   Scored in the top sixteen for all nine events she competed, which gave the team seventy four points from her individual events alone. She claimed 8th in the 500 free, dropping thirteen seconds to post a time of 6:27.33 and came in  7th in the 100 Free at 1:07.32. Most notably, Jess dropped almost three seconds in the 100 Fly with the time of 1:16.37, which not only gave her 5th place in the meet, but also qualified for the thirteen and under girls time standard at the Sun-Kissed Invitational in April. Quite an amazing feat for a 10 year old!

Alex G. A newly turned 15 year old, Alex had a great meet in which he went nine for nine career best swims. He placed in three events on Saturday, scoring 13th in the 400 IM at 4:17.61, 14th in the 200 Breast at 2:15.14 and 15th in the 500 free at 4:48.88. Alex achieved his Sectional cut in the 200 Breast, and is within less than a second from making three other standards for this meet as well.

Kaitlin D. Scored in two of the five events she competed, claiming 11th place in the 500 free with the time of 5:46.81 and an impressive fourth in the 50 free at a blazing 28.86. Insane to think that she is only eleven!

Callie K. After a truly rough and disappointing Friday that would have pushed most swimmers away, Callie came back on Saturday and performed at her best. She placed 14th in the 200 Free at 2:12.90 and claimed 8th place in the 200 back dropping almost 5 seconds to post a 2:26.25.

Arya V. Though a bit overwhelmed at first, Arya settled in and posted seven out of seven career best swims this weekend. She achieved her Junior Olympic times in the 100 Breast at 1:33.47 and the 50 Breast at 42.93. She also came very close in her 100 Free, 50 Free and 100 IM. We are all very confident she will get these times in her next few meets.

Joseph E.   Dropped over 8 seconds off of his 500 Free time at 6:04.34 and went five for five career bests at the meet.

Ben I. Also a young 15 year old, Ben went six for seven career bests with an amazing 100 Breast at 1:04.69 and oh so close to sub 50 100 Free at 50.04. With such an impressive meet, Ben is setting his sights on Sectional cuts to join his buddy Alex.

Aiesha M. Another 100 percent career bests performer going four for four. An amazing soccer player, Aiesha always sees her best swims in the second half of the season
